first night

Tacoma is this really interesting place. Parts of it are terrifying, and parts of it are really lovely. There's this huge contrast everywhere you go. Like, antique stores across the street from graffiti garages. It's kind of everything you would want from a big city without it being a big city. I'd like to maybe live there someday. Old town, though. not the sketchy part. with a nice view of puget sound ala "Ten things I hate about you."

if you're ever in tacoma, you MUST go to the graffiti garages, Marine park on Ruston Way, and the glass museum.
