let's see how many random skills I can acquire!

Currently on the list: becoming a master at cake making.
step one: pinterest.
step two: SNICKERDOODLE CAKE WITH BROWN SUGAR BUTTERCREAM. amirite? so good.
i think i'm going to make this a saturday thing. if anyone has any clever cake/saturday puns/couple names (a la procrastibaking), i'm all ears. or, eyes, in blogland.

Sometimes recipes call for things that college students never have. even after they go to the grocery store with a list. who needs to buy a whole jar of molasses? will i ever use that again? no.
okay, so this recipe may not have called for molasses per say... but half and half? I never even have milk. why would I have half of milk?
so there I was making the frosting, and it was too thick to be easily spreadable. but I was NOT going to make my fourth trip to smith's for the week. so I rummaged around our refrigerator.
I'm pretty sure the moldy heavy whipping cream wouldn't have been good.
next best thing?

guess.

...whipped cream from a can.
yeah, I went there.
